This romantic original piece of art is inspired by the Rosa Bantry Bay that scrambles over the trellis in a wild profusion of pink, fragrant blooms.
The rose border artwork is hand drawn with crayons on a soft white matt art board. The artwork is finished with watercolour and gold metallic paint detail and wash. Each open rose has a dot of pure gold leaf in the centre. The greeting is drawn on an oval piece of the same art board which has a deckled edge. It's adhered to the main artwork with archival tape.
The exquisite vintage frame is 'Danish Design'. It comes with the original backing board, label, A-stand, hanging hook and clips. There is a tiny pattern all round the front of the frame and on the sides. The front pattern has a whitish tint to it. The frame is in excellent vintage condition.
